Vortex
The water inside the plexiglas column is strongly rotating and forms a vortex. Illumination from the bottom with coloured LED's (supplied by CrossPoint).
After a few minutes the whirlpool reaches a length of 1.5 mt. At this point the rotation stops for approx. 2 minutes and the sculpture slowly disappears. Then the cycle starts again.
The LED illumination has a remote control and can bee set
in fixed mode (one of 9 colours) or
cycling mode (the colour slowly changes).
This fountain is installed in the discotheques Billionaire (Porto Cervo) e Hollywood (Milan).
